Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu was handed his first start for Wales in their 1-1 international friendly draw with Panama in Cardiff on Tuesday night, and Blues fans were quick to have their say on the teenager's performance.

The 17-year-old picked up his second cap for his country with a spot in defensive midfield having made his debut as a substitute against France earlier this month, and he showed his maturity and the qualities that he has in the middle of the park before he was taken off in the 67th minute.

Despite his tender years the Welshman has already played twice in the Carabao Cup for the west London outfit this term, while he has been an unused substitute for their last three Premier League matches.

Chelsea supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on his latest showing, and while some described his distribution as "Pirlo-esque", another simply said that "Conte was definitely right about Ampadu".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction...
