Not many outside of west London knew the name Callum Hudson-Odoi before the start of last season, but he ended up playing 24 games in all competitions, scoring five goals and assisting a further five for Maurizio Sarri's Blues.

And four of those goals and two of those assists came in Chelsea's Europa League winning run, as the youngster played a key role in earning the club's first trophy since winning the FA Cup in the previous campaign.

Doubts have been raised over his future with just 12 months left on his current contract, but the latest reports coming from The Daily Mail claim the 18 year-old is close to penning a brand new deal with the Blues, which would keep him at Stamford Bridge for the next five years and bump his wages to more than £100,000-per-week.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount have both recently penned new deals to stay and work under Frank Lampard, and it appears the club legend's plans to use the vast array of youth talent on show at Chelsea has convinced Hudson-Odoi to stay put as well.
