With a transfer ban looming this summer, Chelsea's need to tap into their conveyor belt of academy talents has perhaps never been greater.

The Blues have already lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer, and it was confirmed on Sunday that Maurizio Sarri has also left Stamford Bridge to become Juventus' new manager.

Despite claims Frank Lampard could be ready to take over and potentially really make use of the club's young prospects, one man who won't be in west London next season will be Martell Taylor-Crossdale.

According to the latest update from Sky Sports, the 19-year-old is on his way to the Bundesliga and will undergo a medical with Hoffenheim after reaching an agreement with Chelsea to leave on a free transfer.

With the young striker finishing as the top scorer in the U18 Premier League in 2017, some Chelsea fans took to Twitter to admit that Taylor-Crossdale could be someone who 'slipped away' for the club in the future.

Others however wished the forward luck and felt Hoffenheim - who finished ninth in the Bundesliga last season - were the ideal club for him to maximise his talent.
