Chelsea fans react as Real Madrid reportedly pull out of Robert Lewandowski race

According to Sky Germany, via Sky Sports, Real Madrid have pulled out of negotiations to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, rated at £81m by Transfermarkt, and Chelsea fans have been quick to react to the transfer development.

Italian media outlet CalcioMercato had previously reported that the Bundesliga champions were looking to move the prolific 29-year-old on this summer in order to freshen up their squad, but it seems as though the Poland international won’t be joining Real.

Meanwhile, the Blues may well be in the market for a new centre-forward following a disappointing debut campaign for Alvaro Morata, and Lewandowski could be of interest to them having reached the 40-goal mark in all competitions this term.

Chelsea supporters, who have been raving on Twitter over one of their 19-year-old starlets, took to social media to give their thoughts on the transfer update, and while one simply said “welcome to Chelsea”, another said “SIGN THE MAN @ChelseaFC”.
