Following a prolific campaign on loan at Aston Villa last season in the Championship, Tammy Abraham would have been one of a number of young Chelsea stars hoping to benefit from Frank Lampard's arrival as manager.

The 21-year-old appears to be in direct competition with Olivier Giroud for the number nine role at Stamford Bridge this season, and got the nod against newly-promoted Norwich on Saturday.

Starting from the off, Abraham bagged an impressive brace in his time on the pitch, and looked a real handful for the Canaries' defence with his movement and pace.

After seeing the England U21 international produce a goal-scoring display, Chelsea fans took to Twitter to reveal their thoughts about the striker.

Many supporters of the west London side hailed Abraham for silencing the haters following the horrific racist abuse the forward suffered after the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Liverpool.

Indeed, one fan suggested the performance against Norwich proved he is more than capable of playing for the Blues, whilst another insisted there is "more to come".
