Chelsea finally wrapped up the capture of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado today, and it has left Blues fans beaming with joy.

The Colombia international had to wait for Andre Schurrle's move to Wolfsburg to be completed before singing on the dotted line at Stamford Bridge, but finally managed to complete a £26.1million, four-and-a-half  year deal with just hours to spare before the January transfer window slams shut.

It is a deal that has been dominating the headlines in recent weeks, with the Blues always touted as the leaders for the winger's signature, despite some late interest from Manchester United.

The deal also saw Mohamed Salah go the other way, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho seemingly prepared to allow his squad players to leave in order to further strengthen his first team options and boost the Blues' title credentials.

And, as expected, the Blues faithful were both relieved and chuffed when Chelsea announced the deal had been completed, although some admitted they were also sad to see Schurrle leave the club.
