Eden Hazard enjoyed a superb performance for Chelsea against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, despite his side’s defeat.
The two sides played out a goalless draw in 90 minutes, and both drew a blank in extra time too, with the game settled on penalties.
Hazard scored his side’s fifth kick but misses from Jorginho and David Luiz proved decisive, as Pep Guardiola’s men retained the trophy.
Only Leroy Sane failed to score for City, with Ilkay Gundogan, Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling all on target.
During open play, Hazard was deployed as a false nine by manager Maurizio Sarri, who opted to bench both Olivier Giroud and Gonzalo Higuain.
And his performance was one of direct running, exceptional dribbling and quick feet.
Per WhoScored, Hazard completed all eight of his attempted dribbles at Wembley, while he also had two shots on goal, though he failed to test Ederson.
Nevertheless, Blues fans were impressed with the Belgium international’s overall performance, in spite of the result, though many believe he will still depart the club at the end of the season.

Eden Hazard and Maurizio Sarri deserve their own personal gold medals for this final, feel gutted for them the most. If anyone of you is still Sarri out you're part of the problem.

Hazard was by far the best player on the pitch, Kante was the only one close
