To say Eden Hazard was a star at Chelsea is something of an understatement.

During the seven years he spent at Stamford Bridge following his move from Lille in 2012, he ended up with 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 appearances. On top of that, he was crowned the club's Player of the Year on four separate occasions. He also won two Premier League titles and two Europa League trophies.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and that was also true of the Belgium international's career in south-west London. In the summer, he completed a move to Real Madrid that could be worth £150m.

However, while he enjoyed much success with the Blues, the 28-year-old has chosen to take a thinly-veiled swipe at the supporters of his former outfit.

In an interview with UEFA (via Marca), he said: "At Chelsea when we lost, we were disappointed, like the fans, but I never felt it was a disaster, it's different in Spain.

"I think that here the fans are really fans, football is everything to them and they need players to give everything, in England, there aren't so many fans."

Unsurprisingly, this has got Chelsea fans talking in their droves.

They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
