The rumour mill is in full force again as Hirving Lozano’s PSV steal a point in their Champions League group stage tie against Spurs. Calciomercato (via SportWitness) are linking the Mexican with a move to Chelsea.
The 5-foot-7 speedster got on the scoresheet, pouncing on a ponderous Toby Alderweireld and powering into the box before lobbing Hugo Lloris, albeit via a fortuitous deflection off the recovering centre-back.
‘Chucky’, as he is popularly referred to, was then brought down by Lloris outside the penalty area in the 78th minute, prompting a red card to be awarded to the Spurs skipper. Sky Sports rated the number 11 an 8/10.
Lozano had an impressive World Cup campaign with El Tri, the highlight being a shock 1-0 win over holders Germany.
Chelsea have been previously linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey amidst rumours of star man Eden Hazard’s exit and the poor form of the ageing Willian and Pedro, but Lozano is amongst the most recent players to be touted with a switch to Maurizo Sarri’s Blues.
Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted on Twitter.
I would like to see him in Blue shirt!

Willian is inefficient and Lozano is young promising talent who has showed a lot of talent in the top competitions.

Yeah, he was actually good during the world cup

That would be tremendous

Lozano would make a very good false 9 with Sarri’s tactics.
