For the majority of the transfer window, it was widely reported that Jorginho would join Manchester City.
For weeks, it seemed that Pep Guardiola was determined to bring in the defensive midfielder from Napoli.
In the end, though, Jorginho – valued at £45m by Transfermarkt – followed his manager Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea.
Since he signed on the dotted line, the 26-year-old has made five appearances for the Blues, scoring one goal.
The 5ft 11in midfielder has adapted well to the Premier League and has been one of the reasons why Sarri’s side have a 100% record so far this season.
The club currently sit at the top of the table, level on points with second-placed Liverpool, who have also won all five of their top-flight matches.
On Reddit, one Chelsea fan posted a Sky Sports graphic detailing Jorginho’s contribution in the league so far this season.
No other footballer in the division has had more touches on the ball or completed more successful passes than the Italian.
Plenty of Chelsea fans have been impressed by the summer signing, while others think that there is more to come.
