Chelsea fans react to new-look team leaving for Greece for Europa League clash

Chelsea fans have reacted to pictures posted by the club’s Twitter account of the players leaving London on Wednesday morning for their trip to Thessaloniki in the Europa League against PAOK FC.

The fixture will be Chelsea’s first match in the competition since winning it back in 2013 under Rafa Benitez, and the fans are hoping the club can go far this season by winning it again.

The west London outfit’s other opponents in Group L are Hungarian side MOL Vidi and the most successful side in the Belarus Premier League, BATE Borisov.

The Blues have however decided to rest key player Eden Hazard but in the pictures players like Davide Zappacosta, Andreas Christensen and Cesc Fabregas were seen, suggesting manager Mauricio Sarri might give all three of them their first start of the season. Of the three, only Zappacosta has featured for Chelsea so far this season, coming off the bench in the 85th minute in their 4-1 win over Cardiff City on Saturday.

The travelling squad also includes youngsters Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu.
