As reported by The Daily Mail, Chelsea have rejected a massive £50m bid from Barcelona for winger Willian this summer, with the La Liga outfit hoping to beat Manchester United to his signature.
The paper say that the Blues have shown no willingness to sell the Brazilian international, despite the large figures on offer.
The 29-year-old has been an effective presence in the Chelsea first team over the last few years and last season netted 13 goals in all competitions, also contributing a healthy 8 assists.
He is currently in Russia with his country, helping their bid to lift the World Cup.
Many Chelsea supporters have reacted with surprise to the reports, believing that the £50m on offer from Barcelona should be accepted considering the player’s age and the fact he is not seen as a key performer for the Stamford Bridge side.
Should the club sell him this summer?
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Turning down a 50 million pound bid from Barcelona for Willian is so stupid, the board will probably now sell him for 45 million to rivals United , typical Chelsea

Chelsea have to be holding on to Willian to try a potential Martial swap, the only reason rejecting a £50m bid from Barcelona would ever make sense. #CFC

Bidding war for Willian between Barcelona and Manchester United. Football has officially peaked. #CFC

What if Chelsea planted the news of a £50M bid by Barcelona for Willian so that United makes a mega bid and then sell him off for the inflated price ? 😂🤙🏻 #CFC

Think Golovin is a good player, reminds me of Oscar! Should have sold Willian when Oscar left. Sell Willian and Pedro get Leon Bailey to replace.
