Chelsea more or less strolled to a 2-0 victory over neighbours Fulham on a thrilling Sunday of football, courtesy of a quality goal from Pedro and a strike from substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but some fans felt that one player in particular wasn't up to the occasion.

London derbies have slowly begun to detach themselves from the fiery, bad-tempered reputation that they garnered through the nineties and noughties and, while Arsenal versus Spurs was a token reminder of the past, Chelsea and Fulham's game was mild-mannered and casual.

One man who was perhaps a little too lackadaisical in his performance was Marcos Alonso - the Spaniard completed zero crosses as he offered little for Eden Hazard, who played in front of him.

Emerson impressed in the former Fiorentina man's stead as the Blues battered PAOK in the Champions League in their previous outing, leading to some calling for the Italian's inclusion over Alonso in the line-up going forward.

This consensus will surely be wider after the 27-year-old left-back's blunt showing at the weekend; here is what the Stamford Bridge faithful were saying on Twitter.
