Talk about a blessing in disguise. After Eden Hazard's departure earlier in the summer, Chelsea's miseries appeared to be compounded over the prospect of not being able to replace their Belgian talisman following their transfer ban.

But Maurizio Sarri's departure heralded the arrival of club legend Frank Lampard, and it's fair to say the west Londoners haven't looked back since. The Blues have embraced the idea of showing faith in the club's abundance of young talent, with the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount starting the campaign on fire with nine and four goals respectively.

According to The Daily Mail, Lampard's side are monitoring Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook ahead of a potential swoop. The report claims if the England international can prove his fitness and form over the course of the season, his profile fits into what both Chelsea and Premier League rivals Liverpool are looking for.
