There was a time when Charly Musonda had so much promise. He impressed with the various Chelsea youth teams and was even a part of the UEFA Youth League-winning side in 2015.

However, that success has not translated to senior football. He is currently at Vitesse Arnhem in the Eredivisie, which is the third loan of his career. During the other two spells with Real Betis and Celtic, he did not set the world alight.

For Chelsea, he has made just seven appearances, with the last coming in the 2017/18 season. He has had his attitude criticised in the past, but he appears to still harbour hopes of playing for the Stamford Bridge outfit once again.

"I’m 100% confident I can break back into the Chelsea team. Maybe it’s me being a bit naive or overconfident or just believing I can do it, but that has been my dream since I was 15 years old and that’s never changed. I want to wear the Chelsea shirt one more time," he said in a recent interview with The Independent.
