Chelsea found themselves in a difficult position during this summer, as they were unable to bring in new players as they dealt with a two-window transfer ban.
However, even when they have been able to purchase new faces, things haven’t necessarily been much better. Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella has brought to light the Blues’ signings before the 2017/18 campaign, and it does not make for good reading.
After breaching FFP, how have Man City avoided being hit with a transfer ban like Chelsea? Find out in the video below…
Of the five arrivals, only Antonio Rudiger appears to have a future at the club. Alvaro Morata has joined Atletico Madrid, whilst Danny Drinkwater has been loaned out to Burnley. David Zappacosta in on the verge of moving on a short-term basis to AS Roma, and Tiemoue Bakayoko has been linked with a switch to AS Monaco having failed to feature so far this term.
The Chelsea supporters have been reacting to the tweet, and it is fair to say they are far from happy with that business. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Just shows how bad the signings were in that window. With the exception of rudiger, no one really made an impact for us. With that much money spent we could’ve landed 2 or 3 talented players

To think of the opportunities we could have afforded the academy graduates instead of buying in that dross. Although I will accept that Morata was expected to be a top striker, and was for about 6 weeks.
