So, Chelsea fans, it looks like we could be coming to the end of an era. Eden Hazard’s exit feels inevitable at this stage unless there’s a dramatic change of circumstances in the coming weeks, and when the Belgian does leave, there will be a void that needs filling.
The Blues, though, believe Callum Hudson-Odoi can fill it and want to see him sign a new deal and inherit Hazard’s shirt number.

With Hudson-Odoi currently out injured and facing a long spell on the sidelines as he recovers from a ruptured achilles, the fans loved seeing him with his Europa League winners medal on social media.
The 18-year-old winger is one of the brightest young prospects around at the moment, and his four goals and two assists in the Europa League were key to helping the Blues to their success in the competition.
Now, though, it looks like when he returns to fitness there will be a new level of expectation on his shoulders. As Hazard departs and the club’s no. 10 jersey becomes available, the Stamford Bridge faithful aren’t looking to either Pedro or Willian to fill it, but instead, they want the young £22.5m rated Hudson-Odoi, as valued by Transfermarkt, to step into the Belgian’s shoes upon his return.
