Chelsea fans take to Twitter to discuss Musonda’s exit

Chelsea have a wealth of talent in their youth ranks, but most of the time, the players fail to break through to the first team.

In order to earn more regular game time, batches of the Blues’ youngsters are sent out on loan.

The next in a long line of temporarily offloaded starlets is Charly Musonda, who according to BBC Sport is on the verge of joining Celtic.

The report claims that the attack-minded player will agree an 18-month deal with the Scottish giants.

It appears that the idea is for Musonda to develop his craft under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers before coming back to Stamford Bridge to fight for a place in the first XI.

The 21-year-old was signed to Chelsea’s academy in 2012 following a spell at Anderlecht.

This season, he was handed his senior debut and in total made seven appearances, two of which were starts.

Some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give their backing to the starlet, while others have been left baffled by the club’s decision to let him go.
