According to reports in Spanish media outlet AS, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is ready to sell winger Yannick Carrasco during the January transfer window, and The Sun has suggested that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte could reignite his interest in the Belgium international.

The Sun says that the Italian boss tried to sign the 24-year-od in the summer but the La Liga giants refused to let him go, but he will now be allowed to leave according to AS after having a number of fall-outs with Simeone and his teammates.

The Sun says that Conte is desperate to add some quality and depth to his squad next month, and that could include in attacking areas where there is little competition for the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the transfer rumour via social media, and they were unimpressed.

While one described Carrasco as "another unreliable, inconsistent winger", another said he is a "downgrade to both Willian & Pedro".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
