Chelsea fans urge club to tie Eden Hazard down to new deal after Brighton win

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard scored twice and played a hugely influential role in his side’s 4-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, and Blues fans have urged the club to get the 27-year-old tied down to a lucrative new contract, which is due to expire in 2020.

The Belgium international gave the Premier League holders the lead in the third minute with a fine finish, played a key role in Willian’s brilliant strike three minutes later, before a fine solo effort saw Hazard claim his brace in the second-half.

The attacker has now scored eight goals in 20 Premier League appearances this season, while his first on the south coast was the 100th league goal of his career.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on his display via social media, and while told the club to “give him what he wants”, another said “make him the highest earner in the PL”.
