Chelsea fans want Cahill to be sold

Chelsea will not be present in next season’s Champions League following their failure to secure a top-four position in the 2017-18 Premier League table.

The Blues did end the campaign with the FA Cup trophy, however, with an Eden Hazard penalty seeing them record a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley.

It has been a difficult year for a number of Chelsea players, and there is no question that Gary Cahill can be placed in that list.

The 58-time England international was appointed Chelsea captain following John Terry’s departure last summer, but the centre-back struggled during the 2017-18 season despite making 43 appearances in all competitions.

The Chelsea fans have been unhappy with Cahill’s form throughout the season, and the bulk have now called for the centre-back to be sold this summer.

Head coach Antonio Conte is also believed to be heading out of Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, and the club’s supporters are hoping that Cahill will follow.
