Ex-boss Jose Mourinho signed the South American star from Fiorentina in 2015, but he struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and after just 15 appearances in all competitions for the west London club, he joined Juventus on a permanent deal in 2017 following a successful loan spell.

The 30-year-old certainly made a huge impact on his latest showing in Russia, scoring his nation's third goal against their European opposition and being a constant threat throughout, with his passing particularly impressive.

A selection of Chelsea supporters, who have urged their club to sign a 25-year-old Premier League flop with one describing him as "better than Morata", were quick to have their say on Cuadrado's performance via social media, and while one said "Cuadrado is 4x the player Willian is", another said "can we sign Cuadrado back please @ChelseaFC".
