Loads of Chelsea fans have taken to social media to share calls for the Blues to target Ajax's Hakim Ziyech, after the Morocco midfielder thrived against them in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old frequently tormented the Blues as the two sides played out a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge, with Ziyech displaying a delightful touch to assist Quincy Promes and Donny van de Beek as the visiting Eredivisie side stormed to a commanding lead.

Chelsea struggled to contain Ziyech, as he used his skill, creativity and spatial awareness to drift throughout the Blues' defensive half and deliver incisive balls into the area from the wide positions.

Only Quincy Promes delivered more crosses than Ziyech with the Dutchman providing six to his teammate's five, while the pair were also locked at the top of Ajax's charts for successful dribbles with two each, per WhoScored data.

Ziyech did not manage to write his name on the scoresheet at Stamford Bridge, as his free-kick from an acute angle rebounded in off Kepa Arrizabalaga and was marked as an own goal. But the 30-cap international has struck five in the Eredivisie this term, along with firing home against Valencia in a Man of the Match worthy display last month.

Chelsea would likely be on the hook for a hefty transfer fee if they were to target Ziyech, as Ajax removed the €30million (£25.8m) release clause from his contract when he agreed new terms with the Amsterdam outfit in October.

Chelsea are set to have a hearing on November 20 with the Court of Arbitration over their appeal against their two-window transfer ban imposed by FIFA, which could mean they are able to make signings in January.

Here are some of the messages shared from Chelsea fans clearly impressed by Ziyech's showing in their Champions League meeting…
