Chelsea fans want Morris as first-team boss

Chelsea won the FA Youth Cup for the fifth consecutive year courtesy of a 7-1 aggregate win over Arsenal on Monday night.

The Blues recorded a 3-1 win in the first leg at Stamford Bridge on Friday night, before scoring four answered goals against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is hugely popular with the Chelsea fans, scored twice during the rout as the Blues became the first team since Manchester United in the 1950s to win five successive FA Youth Cup crowns.

Jody Morris represented Chelsea as a player between 1996 and 2003, and the 39-year-old is now in charge of the youth team at Stamford Bridge.

Morris’ work with the club has not gone unnoticed, and despite his inexperience when it comes to managing at the highest level, the Chelsea fans believe that the former midfielder should be in with a shout of replacing Antonio Conte.

Conte has been widely tipped to leave Chelsea this summer following a disappointing season, and it appears that Morris is wanted as the Italian’s successor.
