Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw with Vidi in the Europa League on Thursday night, but the dropped points did not prevent the Premier League outfit from topping their group in the competition.

With passage to the next stage assured before kick off, the fixture gave Maurizio Sarri an opportunity to rotate his squad. Cesc Fabregas, Davide Zappacosta and youngsters Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi all started against the Hungarian outfit.

Another Chelsea player given a rare start was left-back Emerson Palmieri, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Roma in January but has been unable to establish himself in the first team in west London since.

The Italy international was signed by Antonio Conte, but Sarri has so far made it clear that Marcos Alonso is his first choice. However, plenty of Chelsea fans now want to see the 24-year-old given a chance ahead of the Spaniard.
