Chelsea have been handed a major transfer boost as they look for a new central defender, with reports from the London Evening Standard claiming that Marquinhos considering a move away from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blues are thought to be on the lookout for a new central defender after spending much of the summer just gone chasing Everton’s John Stones.
Despite offers in excess of £30m, the Toffees showed no desire to sell their star, and Chelsea’s need for a new option at the back has been evident since with John Terry’s age now catching up with him.
But, the Londoners may be able to lure in another of their summer 2015 targets, with reports claiming that Marquinhos is pondering a move away from PSG.
The Brazilian is currently behind compatriots David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the club’s pecking order and is believed to see himself as a player worthy of regular playing time at the age of 21.
