Chelsea could face a problem signing Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January window with negotiations having stalled, Express reports.
The 26-year-old was expected to complete a transfer to Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, but the two clubs have been unable to reach an agreement on a final fee.
It is believed that the attacking midfielder has already settled terms over his potential move to the Premier League champions, but Shakhtar are keen to increase any fee received.
The Blues are still undergoing talks over his switch, but could now be forced to pay a huge fee for his services or risk losing out on his signature this month.
Teixeira used to play alongside current Chelsea midfielder Willian at Shakhtar and shares Brazilian nationality with the likes of Oscar and Ramires, which could, in theory, ease his transition should a move to west London occur.
