It was a rather terrible day in the end for Chelsea at St. James' Park.It was one-way traffic for most of the match. The Blues had 70% possession and also had 19 shots to their opponents' seven. For most of the second half, the Toon did not even look like getting into the Blues' box, never mind scoring - Steve Bruce's side made a remarkable 21 clearances after the break as they tried to protect their goal. For true Chelsea fans only: How much do you really know about the Blues' famous 2004/05 season? Test your knowledge now...However, Frank Lampard's men couldn't put all of their time on the ball to good use, and they were made to pay by Isaac Hayden in the very last minute of the game. The 1-0 loss does not affect Chelsea's fourth place standing in the Premier League table for now, but they are on a run of three defeats in their last eight matches in the top-flight.The club's supporters were not at all happy with the display, and Callum Hudson-Odoi appeared to take the brunt of the criticism on Twitter.

Whilst he didn't have his best game, it certainly wasn't as bad as these fans make out. He did manage two key passes, for example, and completed two of the three dribbles he attempted.

A couple of fans meanwhile, were quick to mention he is overrated.

Despite previous interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Hudson-Odoi has flattered to deceive this season, with just one goal in the Premier League to his name. However, he is still only 19. He is at the very start of his career, and is perhaps undeserving of the kind of stick he is getting.

Lampard will be hoping the England international will improve and prove his doubters wrong.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans react as this one-time Champions League winner is targeted.
