Various news outlets were reporting yesterday that Chelsea had agreed a fee fee with Leicester City for long-time target N’Golo Kante, with the deal expected to be completed within days.
News sources like this piece from Le Parisien placed a £29m price tag on the transfer, indicating that the deal was quickly progressing.
However, news revealed late last night suggests that this is not the case, with reports that a bid has been accepted being way off the mark.
Reports were beginning to emerge yesterday evening doubting the credibility of the deal, but now Romano has seen fit to confirm his view on the potential deal.
An esteemed Sky Sports and Di Marzio reporter, Romano confirmed last last night that whilst talks are ongoing for the deal, no transfer was CURRENTLY in place. However, he did add that talks could progress in the coming days.
Chelsea is really in talks for N'Golo Kanté. Not finalized yet. Let's see on next days if Leicester will accept. #CFC
