Le10 Sport are reporting a claim by Rai Sport suggesting that Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid’s Isco.

What’s the word?

It is said that Chelsea and Manchester City are keen on Isco, after Juventus have spent the past few weeks chasing his signature.

The Spaniard could well be on the move in the summer should Santiago Solari not establish the £67.5million rated ace as an integral member of his Los Blancos side.

National team boss Luis Enrique has already noted that he would prefer Isco to be playing more regularly, with the 26-year-old only featuring in half of the available minutes in La Liga so far this season.

Isco himself could seek a change of scenery in the next available window in order to better his chances of earning a key role for Spain at Euro 2020.

Preparations for Hazard’s departure?

Chelsea’s rumoured interest in Isco could mark the Stamford Bridge outfit preparing for the loss of Hazard. The Spaniard can occupy the left-flank position or create chances for his colleagues from the centre, although Maurizio Sarri is yet to deviate from three out-and-out central midfielders.

Given Hazard is also said to be a target of Real, a potential player plus cash deal could suit all parties - especially as the Belgium international's contract is due to expire at the end of next season.

It is claimed by AS that Los Blancos will direct all their efforts in the summer to sign the Belgian, but are prepared to wait until next January when they can negotiate a pre-contract with the 98-cap international and sign him for free.

Rather than risk Hazard leaving for nothing, a player Chelsea reportedly value at £100million according to The Telegraph, this could be the best deal available to the Blues.
