Chelsea lead Arsenal in striker hunt

Chelsea have moved ahead of local rivals Arsenal in the £30m battle for Palermo’s Paulo Dybala, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The 21-year-old Argentine has emerged as one of Europe’s most in-demand strikers this season after bagging a stunning 11 goals for the pink-shirted side.

His displays have attracted Arsenal, among others, with reports having claimed that the Gunners have been in talks with the Serie A club.

However, Chelsea are now in the lead, with a £30m swoop on the agenda.

It’s understood that Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his attacking options this summer, with a younger alternative to veteran hit-man Didier Drogba on the agenda.

Dybala as a good option to back-up main man Diego Costa, who has enjoyed an excellent debut season in the Premier League.

The South American youngster has been lauded for his pace and finishing, and is considered to be one of Italian football’s top talents.
