Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic’s agent has revealed that links between his client and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are “very exciting” ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Italy coach will formally succeed Guus Hiddink later this year once his EURO 2016 duties have come to an end, but talk of signings has already been widespread.
One name to have been mentioned is Perisic, with reports claiming that Conte is a big fan of the versatile forward, which could lead to a £15.7m bid for his signature.
Speaking about the speculation, the 27-year-old’s agent, Tonci Martic, revealed that a move to Chelsea would appeal to his client, especially with Conte in charge:
“To be linked to a club like Chelsea and a manager like Antonio Conte is very exciting for Perisic.” his agent told Goal.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and Chelsea is a massive club so we would happily talk about it but a deal is far at this moment.”
Perisic only joined Inter from Wolfsburg last summer and has enjoyed a decent season thus far, notching six goals in Serie A action – making him the Milan giants’ second highest scorer in the competition.
