Chelsea looking to bring in potential Terry successor this summer

Chelsea are keen to cut Andreas Christensen’s two-year loan move to Borussia Monchengladbach short this summer and draft him into their squad for 2016/17, according to reports from the Mirror.

The 19-year-old centre-back joined the Bundesliga side on a 24-month basis last year and has been a huge hit in German football.

With 31 appearances under his belt already, the Denmark international has been attracting the attention of his parent club, who are reportedly looking at re-calling him amid doubts about John Terry’s future in west London.

The veteran Blues captain will, as things stand, be a free agent in a few months’ time, and should he leave, Guus Hiddink’s successor will be short of options at the back.

Glabach are keen to keep the teenager, but an agreement may be reached between the clubs, although Chelsea might have to pay a fee to get Christensen back due to the terms of the initial deal.
