Chelsea misfit to wait until summer for Bundesliga switch

The future of Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle has been the subject of much speculation this week, with The Daily Mail reporting a £23.5million bid from Wolfsburg on Thursday evening.

The German international has managed just five Premier League starts following his World Cup triumphs during the summer and was subbed off at half-time in his last two appearances for Chelsea, allegedly triggering the Bundesliga side’s interest.

Mirror Football now claim that although Jose Mourinho would be prepared to sell this month, the 24 year-old is willing to dig his heels in at Stamford Bridge until the summer – when Borussia Dortmund are expected to come calling.

The 2013 Champions League finalists were linked with Schurrle back in November by The Daily Mail as a potential replacement for in-demand attacker Marco Reus.
