As great as Chelsea have been in recent memory – bar last season – you can’t help but feel they have neglected young players in their quest for titles and trophies.
The Blues had the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku on their books but decided to let them go, clearly thinking they would not be good enough for their level. We know how that’s turned out…
This means, though, that the club must be even more wary about letting potential stars move on nowadays, and it looks as though they’ve got another one coming through in Tammy Abraham.
The young striker has been on loan at Championship side Bristol City this season and has been cracking in goals for fun, with 11 in 14 appearances in all competitions.
That’s an impressive record at any level and now Abraham has got off the mark with England’s U-21s with a fine finish in their game against Bosnia and Herzegovina today, which you can view below via @England…

He looks a great prospect, so surely Chelsea won’t let him slip through the net?
