Filipe Luis has confessed that he’s finding settling at Chelsea difficult due to a lack of “daylight” in London and the changes he’s had to make to his lifestyle.
The Brazilian left-back joined the Blues from La Liga champions Atletico Madrid over the summer after shining for the Rojiblancos last term.
Despite costing almost £16m, Luis has been used infrequently by Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho – he has just two Premier League starts to his name.
And in the wake of rumours that he’s not settling well at Chelsea, the 29-year-old revealed that the conditions in England are a massive factor for him:
“There’s no daylight,” he is quoted by The Metro.
“Here it gets dark at half past three or four. I had never lived that way. You have to change many routines, like my dinner time.”
Luis’ revelation may open the door for a swift return to Spain, where is stock is likely to have remained high despite a tough few months with Chelsea.
