Chelsea on the verge of snapping up wing wizard

Chelsea are on the verge of snapping up Colombian ace Juan Cuadrado, with reports from The Metro claiming that the Fiorentina ace’s agent is on his way to London to finalise the switch.

The Blues were linked with the pacey South American over the summer and are now ready to do all they can to get him to Stamford Bridge before the current transfer window closes.

Reports claim that the Blues are ready to pay his £36.8m release clause, which has prompted his agent, Alessandro Lucci, to fly to the UK to put the finishing touches to the deal.

Fiorentina tied Cuadrado down to a new contract after a summer of speculation on the back of his World Cup performances, but the aforementioned fee was inserted as a release clause.

To fund the swoop, Chelsea are preparing to sell Andre Schurrle and Mohamed Salah, with both players occupying similar roles to Cuadrado.
