The Blues have been chasing the pair for the past couple of weeks, and look set to secure deals for both.
Anzhi are desperate to offload a number of high earning stars to slash their extravagant spending, with Willian and Eto’o two names in particular that must leave.
Willian was said to be close to agreeing a move to Tottenham, but Chelsea launched a late rival bid to beat their local rivals.
As part of the rumoured £30m deal, Chelsea are also willing to take Eto’o – a player that Anzhi are desperate to move on.
The Cameroonian is currently the world’s highest pair footballer, earning a wage in excess of £300,000-per-week.
Anzhi can no longer afford to fund this, and are willing to let him leave for a bargain rate just to reduce their outgoings.
Chelsea are keen to take advantage, with Jose Mourinho desperate to bolster his attacking options.
‘The Special One’ is said to be far from convinced by Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, while Romelu Kukaku lacks the experience to be a regular started for the Blues.
Mourinho worked with Eto’o at inter Milan, and is happy to be reunited with the 32-year-old.
Will Willian and Samuel Eto’o make Chelsea the team to beat this season?
