Chelsea plot £52m raid on Premier League rivals

Chelsea are eyeing a double raid on Premier League rivals Southampton for Nathaniel Clyne and Morgan Schneiderlin, who are valued at around £52m, according to reports from The Express.

The Blues look set to win the title this season, but Jose Mourinho is already plotting additions as he looks towards the 2015/16 campaign.

And reports claim that he had scouts present at Southampton’s 1-0 loss to Everton to keep an eye on Clyne and Schneiderlin.

The midfielder and right-back have been two key cogs in Ronald Koeman’s side this term and have both won spots in their international teams due to their performances in the red and white shirt.

Schneiderlin is valued at around £27m, while Clyne is believed to be worth as much as £25m.

Southampton may, however, be reluctant to sell after losing the likes of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Luke Shaw and Calum Chambers last year.
