Chelsea are set to launch a big money bid for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko in January, as reported by the Daily Star.
The Blues are said to be plotting a £17m move for the French ace, who revealed his desire ‘to play for the biggest clubs.’
He arrived in the North East in January 2013, in a cut-price £1.8m deal and has been repeatedly linked with a move to other clubs.
Newcastle are said to be about to offer the player a bumper new deal to significantly improve his current £35,000 per week contract.
Chelsea may be looking to strengthen their attacking midfield position, where the 26-year old largely operates, though he is able to play further back.
Boss Jose Mourinho loaned out both Juan Cuadrado and Mohammed Salah to Serie A giants Juventus and Roma respectively, and despite signing Barcelona attacker Pedro – could be looking to add more depth.
