Maurizio Sarri has rejected a proposed swap deal that would see Willian move to Barcelona and Malcom join his Blues at Stamford Bridge, according to The Telegraph.
A report was published by The Telegraph on Tuesday night stating that Chelsea had waved away yet another attempt by Barca to land Willian, having tried throughout the summer to take the Brazilian to the Camp Nou.
The latest offer tabled by the La Liga leaders would have seen Malcom leave Catalunya just months after moving there from Bordeaux, having joined compatriot Ousmane Dembele in Barcelona in a deal worth £38million.
Barca had to beat Premier League sides Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool as well as pip AS Roma at the final hurdle to land his signature, but the 21-year-old has struggled to get into the Catalan’s first-team since making the switch.
Blaugrana are now said to be open to cashing in on Malcom in the January window, and met with representatives of Chelsea to discuss a potential player plus cash deal believed to be worth £50million combined for Willian.
Sarri, however, refused the offer as he continues to see 30-year-old Willian as a key part of his side and values his services greater than the proposal raised despite his contract entering its final 18 months.

With Sarri blindly continuing to place his faith in Willian, Callum Hudson-Odoi will likely be forced to continue in a bit-part role only utilised in cup competitions.
Despite growing interest from Germany, and Bayern Munich going on record stating their desires to land the teenage winger, his Italian head coach has still only offered fleeting appearances totalling eight senior outings in all competitions this season.
Bayern have even raised their bid to £35million, despite the 18-year-old’s only Premier League match under Sarri lasting 42 minutes when he came off the bench away to Watford on Boxing Day, but it appears that the Italian doesn’t want to lose him.
If the former Napoli boss continues with Willian, the chances of Hudson-Odoi’s situation at Stamford Bridge changing are slim to none, and talk of his exit will only grow stronger. Already, the academy sensation has discussed the Bundesliga with Jadon Sancho, who successfully made the switch to Germany when he left Manchester City’s youth ranks to play for Borussia Dortmund.
