PSG have been linked with a sensational deadline day bid for Chelsea winger Willian, per Sky Sports.

The French champions are keen to reinforce their squad and are said to have identified the Brazil international as a potential acquisition.

What's the word?

PSG are, per the aforementioned report, chasing a replacement for the injured Neymar, who has been ruled out of action for three months due to a metatarsal injury.

He will subsequently miss both legs of the Champions League knockout tie with Manchester United and attention has turned to securing cover.

PSG are keen to sign Willian, who according to the Telegraph has also been linked with Barcelona this month.

However, Chelsea are said to want to keep Willian at the club as they look to secure a top-four finish under Maurizio Sarri.

The 30-year-old's contract runs out next summer but he appears set to stay at the club until at least the end of the season.

Sell and rely on Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea should accept any offer PSG make in the final hours of the transfer window.

The club already boast the likes of Eden Hazard, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pedro and signed Gonzalo Higuain in this transfer window, while also agreeing a deal to take Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Willian is approaching the twilight of his career and moving him on would allow Sarri to properly promote Hudson-Odoi, who has been forever linked with Bayern Munich, per Sky Sports.

The club have so far kept the 18-year-old at Stamford Bridge and they would increase their chances of retaining him in the long-term if they made an ultimate show of faith by axing Willian to make room for him in the regular matchday squad.

That step starts with the sale of Willian; Chelsea should cash in now.
