Chelsea should try to sign Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford, who is still struggling to please manager Jose Mourinho.

What's the word?

Since making his first-team debut in 2015, Rashford has been a regular in the United squad but in recent seasons he has struggled to hold down a regular spot.

Mourinho is not once to mince his words and on occasion, the attacker has been victim of the manager's criticism.

This season Rashford has started just two Premier League matches and has come off the bench in a further three.

The 20-year-old failed to even come on as a substitute in United's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in August.

Rashford only has one goal to his name so far this season but he could get a new lease of life if he moved down to West London.

Is the move realistic?

It is not often that Premier League rivals sell first-team players to one another, but Mourinho's reluctance to give Rashford a regular starting spot could make a transfer more likely.

So far the youngster has been loyal to the Red Devils, therefore Chelsea could find themselves in a situation where they need to pull out all the stops to persuade the attacker to sign.

The Englishman's positioning has always sparked a conversation as he tends to be played wide left as opposed to through the middle at United.

At Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri could give Rashford a chance up front, particularly as his current options Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have just three goals between them.

Even though the United star is still at a young age, now may be the time for him to experience a change that could benefit his career for club and country.
