Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois has committed his future to the club amid talks that he’s considering a move this summer.
Despite going into the previous campaign as champions, they failed to mount a defence and eventually finished the season in 10th place, with manager Jose Mourinho also getting sacked in the process.
However, the goalkeeper has come out to play down the speculation of a transfer before admitting that he expects to be at Stamford Bridge next season.
“I am at Chelsea. We are going to have a new coach and I have three years left on my contract. If nothing major happens I will stay at Chelsea,” he is quoted by the Express.
“I know that in football things happen fast, but in theory my next season is with Chelsea.”
Incoming manager Antonio Conte is set to arrive at the club once he finishes his job with the Italy national team at the upcoming European Championship.
Courtois made 30 appearances in all competitions for his side last term and managed to keep a total of six clean sheets.
