Chelsea star rejects Real Madrid approach

Chelsea’s star player Eden Hazard has rejected approaches by Real Madrid to lure him to the La Liga for next season, according the Daily Telegraph.

Zinedine Zidane has again made overtures towards the Belgian playmaker but it would seem that they are going to fall on deaf ears.

Hazard signed a five and a half year deal only in February which made him Chelsea’s highest paid star on around £200k a week. The Telegraph report that sources close to Eden Hazard suggest that he wants to stay at Chelsea for the coming season and even beyond.

Zinedine Zidane, who is currently the reserve team coach coach at Real, is tipped to replace current boss Carlo Ancelotti as head of club’s first team but it remains to be seen when this will come to pass.

The fact that Hazard is known to have idolised the French international as a child would appear to have had no effect on his decision as to where to play.
