Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran has claimed that he could play in the same side as Chelsea’s star players despite similarities in positioning, as reported by Sky Sports News.

McEachran is currently enjoying a successful spell on loan at Middlesbrough, but the England under-21 international still sees his long term future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have added the likes of Eden Hazard and Oscar to their already talented midfield this summer, but the 19-year-old Chelsea supporter is confident he can push his way into the squad.

"I don't see (Juan) Mata, (Eden) Hazard or Oscar in my position," McEachran told the Daily Mail.

"It would be good to play with those players, they are all on fire. I am a deeper midfielder, so that's my favourite position, where (John Obi) Mikel, (Frank) Lampard or Ramires play.

"I've been there since I was seven and came through the youth system, so that is my dream club. That is who I want to play for, but this experience can only help me."
