Jose Mourinho is set to have the final say on Kevin De Bruyne’s future, after Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg declared they would be interested in signing the Chelsea midfielder on a permanent deal, according to the Daily Express.
The Belgian has been consistently linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, after failing to nail down a first team place following his return from a loan spell.
He was even been urged to leave by club and international teammate Eden Hazard earlier this week, in order to save his World Cup dream, but the player’s agent has revealed it will be Mourinho who has the final say on the decision.
“If Chelsea want to sell him, we are ready to buy him or loan him with an option to buy,” Wolfsburg general manager Klaus Allofs said.
“We are not interested in a pure loan agreement.”
Schalke and Atletico Madrid are also interested in De Bruyne, who has made just three Premier League appearances this season.
