As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Chelsea are believed to be looking to acquire Seamus Coleman from Everton this January.
The Blues’ woeful first half of this season has made winter signings a necessity and Coleman, if signed, is likely to be one of several as the Londoners look to right the wrongs of the campaign so far.
TMW have written of the Blues’ interest in Coleman and say that the two clubs are already at an advanced stage in their discussions.
After the bitterness of the John Stones saga in the summer, it is hard to see this deal being struck, but Chelsea definitely have deep enough pockets to make a monster offer to the Merseyside club.
The awful form of Branislav Ivanovic will have surely been the trigger for Chelsea’s possible move for Coleman, even after the Irish right-back was linked with a move to Manchester United in the recent past.
