Chelsea take to Twitter after Alisson emerges as target

Roma goalkeeper Alisson has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, but now it seems that another Premier League club are interested.

According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio on Friday, Chelsea are prepared to launch a €70m bid for the Brazil international, who is valued at £54m by Transfermarkt.

The report claims that the Blues’ current shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois is now wanted by Real Madrid, who have cooled their interest in Alisson.

Courtois has often been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, and judging by these latest reports, he could be on his way out of the Stamford Bridge exit gates.

The Belgian international has been Chelsea’s number one since returning from his Atletico Madrid loan in 2014.

Last season, the 26-year-old came under criticism from some fans, many of whom would be prepared to bid farewell to Courtois before the end of the summer.

Some believe that Alisson is the right fit for the Premier League outfit, particularly if Maurizio Sarri replaces Antonio Conte as manager, while others are not so convinced.
