Chelsea target open to dream move

Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler

Julian Draxler has admitted he would be interested in a move to the Premier League, according to the Metro.

The Schalke youngster has been heavily linked with a transfer to Chelsea and Manchester United, and Draxler has said it would be a dream to play for one of them.

“Which boy doesn’t dream about playing for Real, Barca, Chelsea or Manchester United? There is nothing to be ashamed of,” Draxler said.

The 19-year-old scored 10 league goals this season, as he made his name as one of the top rated youngsters in Europe. And it is reported that he has particularly caught the eye of Jose Mourinho, who wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Schalke’s general manager Horst Heldt has said the club have had no offers for Draxler, but he has admitted they are expecting that to change during the summer.

“I’ve heard nothing about it,” said Heldt when asked about a bid from Chelsea.

“There has been no official transfer inquiry from Chelsea. Still it’s a fact there are always clubs considering the qualities of players like Julian Draxler.”

Chelsea officially announced they had reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Andre Schurrle, subject to a medical. The German is the club’s first summer signing.

Would Draxler be a good fit for Chelsea? Or should he join United instead?
